My story
I've had a lot of identities. Most of them I outgrew.
The first one was "the athlete." I ran track at Harvard and walked away my sophomore year. Nobody tells you what to do after that, so I figured it out the slow way. I competed nationally in taekwondo, then spent 15 years in advertising, tech and entertainment.
That stretch taught me most of what I know about leaders. I advised CEOs, built brands, wrote business and DEI strategy, won some awards and got fired three times. I changed careers more than once. Every move came back to the same question: who are you when the title's gone?
What I do now
In 2020 I got certified as a coach, and the zig-zag finally made sense. Coaching is my Work, capital W. It's the thing that lines up with what I care about. That same year I joined Netflix's Inclusion Strategy team, where I spent two years as a leadership coach and thought partner to Marketing, PR, Communications and Awards. In 2022 I went out on my own and ran Homecoming Coaching full-time. I've had coaching clients ever since, including through my next stint at Netflix.
From 2024 to 2026, I led moderated 360s for senior leaders at Netflix, senior directors and up, across Legal, Marketing, PR, Talent, Business Affairs, Product and Tech, Games and Ads. I interviewed the people around each leader and turned all those conversations into one honest written report. Then I sat with executives while they heard how they actually land, and helped them figure out what to do with it.
Now I coach executives and their teams through Homecoming Coaching, and I bring the same work to college athletes through Next Season.
Here's what I believe. You lead best from your core, not from a performance of what a leader is supposed to look like. My job is to help you find that core and build from it.
